Sheverb is heading to Bombay Beach, California to write and record an album while residing in this remote desert locale for the month of February. Five members of this womxn-led, collectively run, a psychedelic desert rock band from Austin, TX will participate in this experiment while living together and performing throughout the greater Salton Sea area. At the end of the month, Sheverb plans to have a full-length album of new, original material that combines the Southern California 1950’s surf rock sound with distinctly Texan and psych-rock flavors.
On their last tour, Sheverb stumbled into Bombay Beach, a surreal place with a fascinating history. Developed in the 1950s on the (accidentally) man-made Salton Sea, this once-thriving resort town has been largely abandoned by the 1970s. They fell in love with the psychedelic, retro, post-apocalyptic vibes of this land and promised to return. On January 31, their journey back begins.
If you’d like to financially contribute to this experimental project, Sheverb is accepting donations on Venmo at @sheverb and PayPal at Sheverbtheband@gmail.com. Every dollar donated will go towards the band’s living expenses while creating the album or post-production costs. While any amount is appreciated, there are two current unique offers:

Born on a high desert wind, Sheverb is a womxn-led, collectively run, a psychedelic desert rock band based in Austin, TX. Armed with their instruments, the Ladies of Reverb are out to challenge our understanding of the romanticized Wild West with their peyote-fueled, surf-infused sound. In the past year, Sheverb crowdfunded a vinyl EP, signed to PeacockSunrise Records, completed two successful tours of the Southwest, and created a “smoldering sound [that] matches Texas heat in a big way” (The Austinot).
