While this marks an official new chapter, Zabocus is no stranger to the PSR family. We’ve had the pleasure of working closely with the band’s co-founder Steve Bonino for many years, and Ted Zahn is no stranger either, as he is a member of projects with Peter Matuchniak under our parent label, Melodic Revolution Records. Their shared creative spirit and rich musical legacy make this partnership feel like a natural evolution.
Since 2015, Zabocus has released four compelling albums that have captured the hearts of Americana enthusiasts. Their latest release, “Dream Machine,” triumphantly completes their ambitious “Trouble Town Trilogy.” To celebrate this milestone, the entire Trouble Town Trilogy will be available June 25th as a specially priced 3-CD collection — a must-have for both longtime fans and new listeners alike.
About the “Trouble Town Trilogy”
Disc 1 – Chapter 1. Roots Run Deep:
This album challenges you to mine deep into it, as the title suggests, the roots run deep not only in the concept but of the collective skills of the performers involved.
Not just an album, but a darker underside of the Norman Rockwell dream….
Disc 2 – Chapter 2. Trouble Town:
This album is a continuation of the Trilogy, featuring a variety of styles that you would expect in a show setting, including frock and a little country. Overall, you can consider it Americana.
Disc 3 – Chapter 3. Dream Machine:
Dream Machine is the third chapter in the Trouble Town trilogy, which is the story of a small American town falling apart due to factory closures and its eventual rebirth due to the invention of a source of power discovered by two of the town’s socially outcast geniuses.
In this chapter, the ‘Dream Machine’ power source is unveiled before the whole town in a tremendous celebration of renewed life.
